2018 Jeep Wrangler Should Watch Out For RAM 1500
Things are going very well for FCA right now, due to the fact that strong sales for Jeep have successfully covered the poor commercial performance that has come from Chrysler, Dodge and Fiat. However the 2018 Jeep Wrangler should watch out for the RAM 1500.
We have heard plans for a $1.05 billion investment for the refurbishing of the Toledo plant in Ohio and this is going to be for the production of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler and relocation of the Cherokee. The latter being at Toledo.
People think that with so much money being thrown at Jeep, FCA could have been gambling too much on the gas prices remaining low in the future. We know that there is going to be improvements to fuel economy in the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, however this doesn’t take away from the fact that 4×4 vehicles are not well known for offering efficiency.
While some people think that this is a risk, what would be even more frightening is the latest announcement to come from the FCA. We heard that they will put $1.48 billion into revamping the Michigan Sterling Heights Assembly to make the next generation RAM 1500, which is said to be coming with a body on frame instead of the uni-body build.
Just as with the Jeep Cherokee, the Chrysler 200 is going to get a kicking out thanks to the retool of the Detroit plant and it is going for good as the sedan is not going to be made anywhere else.
