While there hasn’t been any confirmation yet it is thought that the 2018 Jeep Wrangler could come costing more than the previous version.
Of course the Jeep Wrangler that comes out in 2018 is going to cost more to make than it did the year before. While the 4×4 benefits from a big increase in production capacity, there is no denying that the cost of aluminum is expensive.
The whole production process of building a vehicle that is made from aluminum is more delicate than had the vehicle been made out of steel. Therefore the price tag may be increased by around $1,000 to $3,000. Of course the vehicle also wants to succeed internationally but that is going to be totally different thing.
What might seem to be a pinch in the US could turn out to be a hard slap in the fact. This is due to the fact that the Jeep Wrangler costs around three to four times more the equivalent in China and India. Countries which are suited to the rugged vehicle.
So unless Jeep can absorb some of the costs of using aluminum of high grade, buyers abroad may be difficult to convince, more so when the Renegade, which isn’t built from aluminum, comes with a price tag that is lower.
