2018 Jeep Wrangler: Is It Very Much Like Ford Mustang?
The most iconic and popular vehicle belonging to Jeep really hasn’t been their best-seller. The company has just six models and out of these the Jeep Wrangler comes in third place and has done so in recent years. However there is a good reason and this is that all of the supply is made in just one production plant in the US.
This means that the first priority of the car maker is the US market and this could be one of the biggest reasons why only 20% of the 250,000 units that were sold last year went to buyers that were outside of the US.
In contrast there is the Jeep Renegade and this has been produced in three regions, but not the US. This saw 62% of the sales last year outside of the US.
This could be all changed though as the FCA want the jeep Wrangler to be the brand that represents them and the bran is going to be given a huge boost.
There isn’t going to be any wonder about how much of the limited supply is going to go to markers outside of the US as Jeep is making a huge investment of $700 million and with some changes, the yearly production is going to be hiked to around 450,000 units.
Just as with the Ford Mustang, the Jeep Wrangler is going to have to warm up if it is going to take the international market by storm. One example of the immediate impact that the Mustang had outside of the US was in Australia when it sold out in just one month of it heading there.
Of course we are not expecting the sales to be boosted in regions where at the moment the presence of the Jeep Wrangler is sparse, for instance Middle East, Europe and Asia. The mere presence of the Jeep Renegade overseas should however be more than enough to ensure the success of the Jeep Wrangler.
