The Jeep Wrangler is a vehicle that is very popular and this has been a plus and minus for the company. This is due to the fact that people have to wait a long time for one as the demand outweighs the supply.

Of course the FCA wants this to stop happening and so they are pouring in money to upgrade the plant where the Jeep Wrangler is made. The upgrade will allow them to build the aluminum version of the Wrangler along with boosting production of it.

Jeep did give us confirmation that the production of the Jeep Wrangler is going to be at the Toledo plant and the upgrade means that capacity can be increased from 240,000 units per year to 450,000 each year. The remainder of the plant is going to work on a new truck that is going to have the base of the Wrangler.

In total the FCA are going to spend $700,000 million upgrading the plant and at the same they will create another 700 jobs.
