At the moment the FCA is being looked into for alleged cheating with the diesel emissions on some of their vehicles, including the 2018 Jeep Wrangler diesel. In January the Justice Department probed the matter on the same day that the CEO refuted the allegations and claims.
In the annual report from the FCA they stated that “the resolution of these matters could have a material adverse effect on our financial position, results of operations or cash flows and may adversely affect our reputation with consumers, which may negatively impact demand for our vehicles.”
It has been suggested that the FCA may be looking at a maximum fine of $4.6 billion.
This is going to have a negative impact on Jeep and the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, which is going to be taking on the diesel engine for the first time ever. But do you think the issue is going to affect the sales of the Wrangler when it arrives?
