A year ago there was a lot of speculation about the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk which was said to be Hemi powered. Recently though news has dropped off and this may be due to the fact that FCA has now moved all of their attention onto the Dodge Challenger Demon and its 707 horses.
It was said at the 2016 North American International Auto Show that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk would be making its way out by the end of this year. It was even suggested by some people that it would make its debut at the New York Auto Show or the Detroit Auto Show. However by the end of 2016 news and reports about the Trackhawk run dry.
This could be due to the fact that the FCA is now more interested in the Dodge Challenger Demon, which is the supercharged Challenger offering 707 horses. This vehicle is said to be launching in New York and we cannot see FCA allowing the two vehicles to compete against each other.
So we don’t think that the Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk is going to be shown off alongside the Dodge Challenger Demon and the Demon is now the focus of FCA.
