2018 Hyundai Elantra Aiming For WRX While Learning From BMW M2

By  |

At the moment the Hyundai Elantra isn’t in a very good spot commercially and it could benefit from what the N Performance division of the car maker has planned for the first mass market performance vehicle.

We are looking forward to a vehicle that is going to be able to compete with the Subaru WRX VW Golf GTI and the Ford Focus ST and this should have the name of the Elantra GT N, which is going to be made available for buyers in the US.

The Elantra GT N is going to be revealed as a 2018 version and the hatchback is going to offer up a sharp appearance along with a low stance and a demeanor that is going to be less plump.

The vehicle is going to benefit from the executive VP who was behind the development of performance vehicles the BMW M3 and BMW M5 from the BMW M performance division.

At the moment we don’t know about the output offered from the Elantra GT N, however it has been said that it could be a turbocharged four cylinder offering 173 horses and this will be the 2 litre engine that is seen on the current GT hatchback.
