The demand for SUVs and Crossover models has increased over the last few years and automakers like Honda has been taking full advantage of that by releasing new crossover models like the HR-V and BR-V but let’s talk about the one model that was already here before this all started.
The Honda CR-V has always been one of the top-selling SUV in the market. Under the hood is a 2.4 liter four pot engine that will be offering about 185hp and 181lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a CVT engine. With that, the CR-V will return about 27mpg on average.
So how does the CR-V does when compared to their rivals? Well, the Subaru Outback comes in with two engine option, the 2.5 liters flat-four engine and a 3.6 liter flat six engine that will be offering 175hp and 256hp. The Outback returns about 28mpg on average which means it is slightly more fuel efficient than the Honda CR-V.
However, the Honda CR-V has more space to offer on the inside thanks to the foldable speed and its base model also starts out cheaper with a $23,750 price tag compared to the $25,645 price tag that the Subaru Outback is asking for.
