By  |

Spies have seen and captured the 2018 Honda Civic Type-R in action out in the streets of the USA and this is the hatch hatchback that people have been waiting for. The vehicle was previously said to be in prototype form, however the one captured looks as though it is ready to be sent to production.

The 2018 Honda Civic Type R in question is a pre-production version and it was seen driving around close to the headquarters on Honda in the US, in Southern California.

We have heard that the 2018 Honda Civic Type R may offer an engine that gives 340 horses, but this hasn’t been confirmed by Honda. It will be a front-wheel drive and have a six-speed manual. It is thought that the vehicle is going to make its debut at some point next year, but we don’t know when.

People have high hopes for the 2018 Honda Civic Type R in the US so we are hoping that it isn’t going to disappoint.

Saw one going down highway 280 east in Alabama through Lee county a few miles West of the Georgia border a few weeks ago. The front looks so terribly ugly. The red accents certainly looked neat though. Sounded like utter crap though. Still have high hopes and an open mind though.
