We could be about to see the 2018 Honda Civic arrive as an all-electric model. On saying this Honda does think along the same lines as Toyota when it comes to hydrogen fuel cells being the future, not hybrids. But before they become viable it is possible that they could dabble in electric vehicles.

In the short term Honda knows that electric vehicles are the way to go and this is why we think the 2018 Honda Civic could be all-electric.

They did say however that their focus for a long term system is going to be on hydrogen propulsion fuel cells. This is due to efficiency and pollution along with being practical as it can charge within just minutes instead of hours.

Of course fuel cell technology is still a long way away and until then a 2018 Honda Civic hybrid may be on the cards.
