The 2018 Honda Accord is going to be a later arrival to party with the Honda CR-V and the Civic.
The Honda Accord, CR-V and the Civic will all share the same platform along with offering up the 1.5 litre turbocharged engine. The Accord is going to be the last to join the party as it will not be making an arrival until 2017.
But what’s going to happen to the V6 3.5 litre engine when the 2018 Honda Accord does arrive? Honda have shown commitment to the 4 cylinder turbocharged engine, however there are many who would like to see the V6 still being offered. The V6 engine in the Honda Accord coupe is very difficult to beat thanks to it having superb on the road performance, being comfortable and coming with active safety that is exceptional.
The turbocharged 4 cylinder gas engines are cool, however a lot of the direct turbocharged engines that come with 4 cylinders are noisy when they are starting up and of course they don’t have the cool sound of the V6 engine.
So Honda may offer the 2018 Honda Accord with the turbocharged engine along with the V6 as there are many who like the sound of it.
