The 2018 Honda Accord is going to make it to the party of the Honda Civic and CR-V but it is going to be very late in doing so.

The Honda Civic, CR-V and the Honda Accord will all offer up the same platform and we expect that all three will have the 1.5 litre turbocharged engine. While the others have already made it out the Accord isn’t going to arrive until 2017.

When the 2018 Honda Accord does come out it may be the last that we see of the V6 3.5 litre non-turbo engine. We say this as Honda has shown commitment to the 4 cylinder turbocharged. However, there are many people who would like to see the arrival of the V6 powered engine too as this engine is very hard to beat as it offers the vehicle great performance on the road.

The downside to turbocharged 4 cylinder engines is that that can be noisy when starting and of course they don’t offer the cool sound that the V6 does.

Perhaps Honda will listen to what people want and offer both the 4 cylinder turbocharged and the V6 engine with the 2018 Honda Accord. Let’s hope so.
