2018 Ford Mustang: Making A Big Mistake?
With the introduction of the 2018 Ford Mustang the carmaker may be about to make a huge mistake that may signify a drop in the sales of what has been the best-selling muscle car.
We say this as a poll was recently conducted and it showed that people don’t want to see the end of the naturally aspirated V6 engine. The 2018 Ford Mustang is going to arrive with the 2.3 litre Ecoboost I4 and we believe that we will then say goodbye to the V6.
The EcoBoost engine is said to have what it takes to fill in for the 3.7 litre Cyclone engine that is now found in the V6 Ford Mustang as it offers up 10 more horses and 40 torque. But to do this it has to rely on the turbocharger, which could bring about lag when accelerating. The new engine is also heavier than the V6 too.
The recent poll revealed that people would like Ford to offer up the V6 engine alongside the new EcoBoost, but whether Ford takes this into account is anyone’s guess. If not they could be making a big mistake.
