Ford is making expansion in two different directions. They are going in one direction with Ford Performance to deliver the Ford Focus RS500, Bronco Raptor and the Ford Mustang GT500. The other direction takes them into autonomous driving and this is developed with the Ford Fusion Hybrid.

Now fans of performance versions are worried that some of their favorite cars could be dragged into having self-driving features. No one likes to think that they are going to have to give up the steering wheel of the Ford Focus RS to autonomous driving.

There is a bit of good news though and this is that Ford realize that there are some vehicles that the autonomous technology isn’t going to suit.

It was said that some nameplates in the Ford lineup do make more sense than other models do. So this tells us that the car maker is aware that some people are worried about some of their performance vehicles.

Maybe the 2017 Ford GT would be appropriate for autonomous driving given that it is a luxury super car and it is a halo car from Ford. Fans are hoping though that the technology is kept away from the ST and RS models.
