Despite the fact that the Ford F-150 has shed a lot of weight thanks to the use of aluminium, it seems that Ford still isn’t happy with the weight of the vehicle. There 2018 Ford F-150 is going to be upgraded and Ford is using more aluminium than before to help make the truck lighter.

The 2018 Ford F-150 is going to not only be lighter than before thanks to Ford adding on even more aluminium, it will also come with plenty of state-of-the- art technology, just as the 2015 model did. Ford do want to stay ahead of the competition and this includes the vehicles from GMC, Chevrolet and Ram.

Recently the Ford F-150 was seen with the Land Rover Ranger Rover Evoque and while there hasn’t been confirmation it does look like it will offer the 3 litre diesel engine that comes from Jaguar Land Rover.

The recent spy photos suggest that the 2018 Ford F-150 has sport redesigned body panels. However, as it was covered up heavily it was difficult to tell if the changes are going to be big or small.

The 2017 version of the Ford F-150 offered up an upgraded engine and this was the V6 3.5 litre EcoBoost, giving 370 horses and 475 of torque and it came with the 10 speed auto transmission. This should be kept with the 2018 Ford F-150 too.
