The Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro are two vehicles that are well ahead of the Dodge Challenger in sales. The SRT Hellcat may soon also fall behind in sales and the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and Ford Mustang GT500 may take over.
Right now the FCA isn’t one to be pulling the punches. If they need the 2018 Dodge Challenger to catch up then the vehicle is going to have to offer something drastic. This applies to the standard and 707 version of the Hellcat.
Dodge Challenger fans have heard some good new though and this is the form of the Dodge Challenger GT AWD. This is a vehicle that may have what is needed for it to be able to take on the Camaro and Mustang.
The Dodge Challenger GT AWD is all-wheel drive of course and it is going to pack in a V6 engine, something that neither the Camaro or the Mustang is going to offer.
The Hellcat version is going to offer up lots of power and come with the ADR nameplate. The V6 6.2 litre engine has lots of power to offer and the Dodge Challenger GT AWD will offer up the wide body kit.
