The Dodge Challenger is currently well behind the sales of the Ford Mustang along with the Chevrolet Camaro and it is looking as though the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat may be about to succumb to the Ford Mustang GT500 and the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
This means that at the moment the FCA isn’t able to pull punches and if they should set their sights on getting closer to the Mustang and Camaro they are going to have to do something good with the 2018 Dodge Challenger. We are talking about both the standard version of the vehicle and the Hellcat version offering 707 horses.
Dodge Challenger fans received a good indication that they are in fact setting their sights on the Ford Mustang and Camaro with a new vehicle with the name of the Dodge Challenger GT AWD.
The Dodge Challenger GT AWD is of course four wheel drive and it is going to offer the V6 engine instead of the V8. At the moment this is something that neither the Ford Mustang nor the Chevrolet Camaro offers.
The Challenger Hellcat will offer up more power and it is going to have the ADR nameplate. The V8 6.2 litre engine would be more powerful and the Hellcat should come with a body kit that is wide.
