The Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang are both ahead of the Dodge Challenger in sales and soon the SRT Hellcat version may also be behind the sales of the Ford Mustang GT500 and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
At the moment the FCA isn’t in any position to be throwing its weight around. The 2018 Dodge Challenger needs to be able to catch up but it is going to have to do something very drastic. We are talking about both the 707 Hellcat version and the standard version too.
There has been some good news though and this comes by way of the Dodge Challenger GT AWD. The vehicle is going to have what is needed if it wants to take on the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro.
As the name of the vehicle might suggest the Dodge Challenger GT AWD is all-wheel drive and it will offer up the V6 engine. Thanks to the engine it might stand out as neither the Mustang nor the Camaro offers it.
With the arrival of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat version comes the ADR nameplate. The engine is the V6 6.2 litre and this offers up lots of power and the GT AWD is going to come with the wide body kit.
