The Dodge Challenger has always been a fair way behind the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. Right now the SRT Hellcat could be outclassed thanks to the Camaro ZL1 and the upcoming Ford Mustang GT500.

This means that the FCA really isn’t any position to be pulling punches with the next generation Dodge Challenger but if they want to hit back then the 2018 Dodge Challenger really needs to up its game on the standard version and the 707 horsepower Hellcat.

Recently we heard some news that was very interesting for fans of the Dodge Challenger and its about a vehicle that neither the Ford Mustang or the Chevrolet Camaro could rival. It goes by the name of the Challenger GT AWD.

The name would suggest that the upcoming Dodge Challenger GT AWD is going to offer power to the four wheels. However it seems that rather than giving it a V8, it will have a V6 engine. This is something that the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro don’t offer.

When it comes to the Hellcat version, it is said that it is going to offer up more power and it will have the ADR nameplate. The car maker is going to be boosting the V8 6.2 litre to give it more power and it is thought that the Dodge Challenger Hellcat would also come with a wide body kit.
