The gap between the Dodge Challenger and the Ford Mustang and Camaro is getting ever wider. It is looking as though the vehicle is at risk of being totally outclassed by the upcoming Ford Mustang GT500, but can the 2018 Dodge Challenger change things?
The FCA cannot pull any punches when it comes to the upcoming 2018 Dodge Challenger and the new version really has to raise its head if it wants to remain in the game on both the standard and the 707 horse version.
Now there is some news about an intriguing entry for the Dodge Challenger and this would be one that neither Chevrolet or Dodge would be able to rival and it has the name of the Dodge Challenger GT AWD.
You might have guessed from the name that the new variation is going to offer up power to all four of the wheels. However rather than it having a V8 engine, the Dodge Challenger GT AWD would offer up the V6 engine. An AWD setup is of course something that is alien to muscle cars; it’s something that the Camaro nor the Mustang offers in either optional or standard.
When it comes to the Hellcat side of things we have heard that there is a more powerful version coming our way and it will have the ADR name attached to it. Along with offering up more power from the V8 6.2 litre supercharged engine, the hotter version of the Hellcat is going to come with a wide body kit.
