2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT Could Get Viper-ized

By  |

…as in it would get the 8.1L Viper engine, or at least that’s what we’ve heard so far.

There’s no denying that enthusiasts were saddened by the fact when the 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT could die in production. But rumour has it now that the Hellcat SRT could be continued and would be propelled by an 8.1L Viper engine. So perhaps we shouldn’t be too disheartened, but still, let’s just take this with a grain of salt.

Sure, the Dodge Viper may be rebooted (and god knows when that would be), but we’ve heard recent reports suggesting that it could be discontinued again. It’s all so contradicting and confusing, and until Dodge releases any confirmation about this, we’ll just have to take it like a pinch of salt.

So, perhaps we could say that if the Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT would really be offered (again), is it really possible that the remaining Hellcats could be scooped up by performance buyers? It’s pretty noticeable that Dodge has already sensed the potential for increased demand, so we’re being hopeful that it both the Hellcat and Viper could be rebooted again. Who’s with us?
