The Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro are far ahead of the Dodge Challenger for sales and it looks as though the Ford Mustang GT500 and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 are soon going to outdo the SRT Hellcat.
This has left the FCA not being able to pull punches and with the 2018 Dodge Challenger they are going to have to do something that is drastic. We are talking about the standard version of the Challenger and the Hellcat with its 707 horsepower.
It’s not all doom and gloom for the 2018 Dodge Challenger as Ford are hitting back at the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro with the Challenger GT AWD. This as the name suggests is going to be an all-wheel drive and it will have the V6 engine, not the V8 engine. The Camaro and the Mustang are not offered with the V6 engine.
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat is going to come with the ADR nameplate and it will offer up the V8 6.2 litre engine and it should be more powerful along with offering a wide body kit.
