The Chevrolet Camaro and the Ford Mustang are two vehicles that are well in front of the Dodge Challenger when it comes to sales. Soon the SRT Hellcat may also fall behind thanks to the Ford Mustang GT500 and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
The FCA hasn’t been able to pull punches against Ford and Chevrolet with the Challenger and if they want to get back into the running with the 2018 Dodge Challenger then they need to do something rather drastic. We are talking about the Hellcat, which offers 707 horses, and the standard version.
There may be a silver lining for the 2018 Dodge Challenger though in the disguise of the Dodge Challenger GT AWD. Of course this is going to have all-wheel drive, the name gives it away. It may come with a V6 engine as neither the Chevrolet Camaro nor the Ford Mustang offer it.
When it comes to the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, it is going to offer more power and this should be the 6.2 litre V8 engine. The Challenger may also come with the wide body kit.
