The Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro are two vehicles that are well ahead of the Dodge Challenger at the moment and it is thought that the SRT Hellcat could soon be outclassed by the Ford Mustang GT500 and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
The FCA isn’t in good standing at the moment but if they want to pull punches against Chevrolet and Ford they are going to have to come up with something good with the 2018 Dodge Challenger. Drastic changes are needed to both the standard version and the 707 Hellcat.
However there is some light at the end of the dismal tunnel for the Dodge Challenger and this comes thanks to Dodge Challenger GT AWD. This is a vehicle that may just be able to challenge both the Chevrolet Camaro and the Ford Mustang.
The Dodge Challenger GT AWD takes after its name as it sends power to all four of its wheels. It isn’t going to offer the V8 engine, instead it will arrive with the V6 engine and as the Mustang and Camaro aren’t offered with a V6, it may be able to rise above them.
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat should have the ADR nameplate and it should come with more power. The 6.2 litre V8 engine will be powerful and it is thought that the Hellcat will offer a wide body kit.
