We know that BMW will be coming out with a new BMW i8 model but and the one thing that people have been hoping to see is a performance upgrade and based on some of the new reports, it looks like BMW is working on that.
According to Autocar, the BMW i8 could be getting a huge boost in terms of performance thanks to the new hybrid 1.5 liters three-cylinder turbocharged engine and an electric motor. The new hybrid engine will be offering about 420hp which is a huge jump from the 357hp that the BMW i8 was offering previously.
With the new performance upgrades, the BMW i8 should be able to go from 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 155mph. We can also expect to see some exterior upgrades including the LED headlights along with some interior upgrades
Of course, BMW has not released any official information yet so take this with a pinch of salt.
