We have recently seen two prototypes of the upcoming 2018 Bentley Continental going through their paces at the Nurburgring track. Both were in coupe and convertible variations and the exteriors of the vehicles were vastly different from those that the vehicles will be taking over.
The 2018 Bentley Continental is going to offer a front fascia that is lower and more streamlined along with enlarged inner headlights, with a smaller light on the side. The rear wheel arches have been squared off and this sets the vehicle apart from the one on the road right now, thanks to it having a profile that is sporty looking.
The prototypes of the 2018 Bentley Continental had the W12 6 litre twin turbocharged engine that was first seen last year on the Bentley Bentayga. On this the engine offered 608 horses and it is thought that the figure will be around the same on the Bentley.
The 2018 Bentley Continental range is also going to include the V8 4 litre twin turbocharged engine and there is the possibility of a plug-in hybrid version being added onto the range.
The 2018 Bentley Continental is going to offer the MSB platform of the Porsche Panamera and we should see a lighter vehicle in comparison to the model out now, due to the use of aluminium.
