We have seen the 2018 Audi Q8 and Audi Q7 side by side and we find it difficult to tell the difference between the two, apart of course from the fact that one is wearing camouflage.
The 2018 Audi Q8 doesn’t seem to be as good as the concept that was shown off in many ways. The body kit isn’t silver, the air intake to the right is fake and on the back there is the noticeable lack of exhaust pipes, something which the Audi Q7 doesn’t lack.
People have been talking about the Audi Q8 for a long time now and making it out to be something very special. In reality its only an SUV that offers a sloped trunk and it even comes with roof rails. There is little doubt that the vehicle is going to come with technology that will amaze, but is a sportback really what people wanted?
The Audi Q8 is now wider and it does look lower than the Audi Q7, the headlights taper slightly and the grille takes on a squat shape. It is also thought that two engines will be offered as the Audi A4 and A5 offer.
The entry level could be the 286 PS 3 litre TDI and then there may be the twin-turbocharged. There should be a couple of e-tron hybrids and they could be the 270 PS diesel and 126 PS electric heading to Europe along with a gas version for the US and China.
It is thought that the 2018 Audi Q8 is going to have a price tag of around 100,000 euros and it should be able to take on vehicles from Mercedes and BMW.
