2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Won’t Let BMW X3 Steal The Show

By  |

The 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio isn’t about to sit back and let the BMW X3 steal the show. The crossover is going to be revealed at the LA Auto Show and it will go on sale early next year. The Stelvio is the first SUV from Alfa and it brings with it the mechanical underpinnings of the Guilia Sport sedan.

The 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio offers up the 2 litre I-4 turbocharged engine giving out 276 horses and 295 torque thanks to the eight speed automatic transmission. This means it is going to be nippy, more so thanks to the all-wheel drive of the Q4.

Meanwhile we have recently seen spy photos of what are said to be the next generation BMW X3, a vehicle that is hoping to steal the limelight. The new model comes in lighter by 220lbs than the version on the market now and it has been said that it may come in an EV variation. It will come in AWD xDrive and RWD sDrive versions and be offered in a variety of diesel and petrol engines.

Bosses did give confirmation that they would be launching the full electric version of the BMW X3 and this is said to be coming out in 2020. It is thought that the X3 is going to arrive early on in 2017 as it is going to go into production by the end of the summer. But which vehicle is going to steal the limelight, will it be the X3 or the 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio?
