In the first 6 months of this year Volvo have managed to obtain a sales growth of 10.5% in comparison to the same period of time in 2015 as they have managed to sell 256, 563 units around the world. While the 2017 Volvo CX90 is taking over as the CX60 is failing.
Sales in Western Europe have remained at their highest level with 102, 396 vehicle having been sold and this equates to about 40% of total sales. Meanwhile the US and China customer base has been growing at an impressive rate at 24.8% and 6.3%.
If you are a fan of Volvo vehicles you may know that Volvo has two new platforms, the CMA and SPA and the company has been making huge efforts towards electric performance vehicles. The first model to offer the SPA platform is the 2017 Volvo CX90.
The 2016 SUV with three rows should not be understated as it has managed to win many awards since it has been on the market.
From January to June 2016 the Volvo XC90 has been in third position after achieving global sales of 43, 911 and this puts it behind the XC60 with its 73, 817 sales and the V40/Cross Country, which achieved 48, 670 sales.
This isn’t the full story though as the sales of the Volvo XC60 went down 5.4% and the XC90 managed to sell just 6,719 units last year in June.
We are going to have to wait until the latter half of 2017 to see the 2017 Volvo XC60 and the version out at the moment may continue to fall as the XC90 heads upwards.
