The Volkswagen Golf has been one of the most successful models for the car maker and now the vehicle is going to receive a makeover, but it looks as though they are pushing the wrong buttons.
The facelift for the 2017 Volkswagen Golf is said to be an extensive one but we are not expecting to see any big design changes. Instead there is going to be minor detail tweaks, but these should be enough. It has been said that most of the changes are going to be made under the skin.
One of the highlights of the makeover of the 2017 Volkswagen Golf is the 9.5 inch high resolution screen along with 8 inch display to take over the conventional instrument cluster and this is said to offer up a button-less experience.
It is a bit strange that Volkswagen have chosen to go this way as fans of the Honda CR-V demanded that the car maker bring back the volume knob and the car maker honoured this. A full touchscreen without any knobs could be a huge mistake for Volkswagen as it does make things a lot harder to keep the eyes on the road.
But what do you think, would you prefer to have a touchless system on the 2017 Volkswagen Golf or would you rather they had taken the same route as the CR-V and kept the knobs?
