The top of the range Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is offered for a price tag of $40, 760 in 2017, compared to the previous version, which commanded a price tag of $36, 635. This is for the manual double cab and it doesn’t include any destination fees. While this is a hike in price, the hike is justified.

The older version offered up 236 horses from the V6 4 litre engine; however the new version of the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro offers the V6 3.5 litre and this takes the figures up to 278 horses and it comes with six speed auto or manual gearing. The fuel economy figures have also increased too.

On the exterior there is numerous enhancements, these allow it to hold its own among competition such as the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2.

The tires have Kevlar and are on 16 inch TRD wheels; there are also new projector beam headlamps, a hood scoop that looks cool and front aluminum skid plate. Mechanical features include the stainless steel exhaust, Fox Shocks, power steering cooler, 4WD transfer case and an oil cooler. The cabin of the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro features an infotainment display of 4.2 inches and is packed with plenty of accessories.
