2017 Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, Honda CR-V and Nissan Rogue: Economy Challenge
Four of the best SUVs are the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester and the Nissan Rogue. But which of these offers up more fuel for your money?
When you go on paper it looks like the Toyota RAV4 comes out ahead as it offers up 34mpg when in the city and 30mpg out on the highway. However you do have to bear in mind that this is the results for the hybrid vehicle. When on gas it comes in at 23mpg in the city and 30mpg on the highway.
The Subaru Forester offers up 26mpg when in the city and 32mpg on the highway and this comes in just behind the fuel economy of the Nissan Rogue as it offers up 26mpg in the city and 33mpg out on the highway.
The Honda CR-V offers up the 1.5 litre turbocharged 4 cylinder and this gives 28mpg when in the city and 34mpg when out on the highway, which is an improvement over the 2016 version.
So the best is the Toyota RAV4 in hybrid form, but if not then you might want to go for the Honda CR-V.
