2017 Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V and Subaru Forester: Best Fuel Economy
One of the hottest segments on the market at the moment is SUVs. Four great contenders in the market are the 2017 Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V and the Subaru Forester. But which of these superb vehicles offers up the best in fuel economy?
If you look at the figures on paper then we would say that the title would go to the Toyota RAV4. It offers up 34mpg when travelling in the city and 30mpg on the highway. However this is a hybrid vehicle that has been disguised.
The Subaru Forester offers up 26mpg when in the city and 32mpg when out on the highway. The Nissan Rogue offers up 26mpg driving around the city and 33mpg when on the highway, so just pokes its nose in front.
The Honda CR-V has the 1.5 litre turbocharged 4 cylinder engine and this offers up 28mpg city driving and 34mpg when out on the highway.
There really isn’t a great deal to choose from between them and the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is a hybrid, so we have to give the win to the Honda CR-V.
