2017 Toyota C-HR: The Odds Are Going Against It

By  |

Toyota gave us confirmation that they are going to launch a new crossover and it is going to have the name of the Toyota C-HR. The concept of it has been shown off and we have to say that we really like the design.

The only problem with the Toyota C-HR is that the vehicle might not reach potential thanks to gas prices that have remained low. The powertrain options of the vehicle are not the most exciting of offerings.

The base version of the Toyota C-HR is going to be the 1.2 litre turbocharged with 115 horses. There is also the option of the 1.8 litre hybrid that offers 122 horses combined. When it comes down to fuel economy it can beat the segment, however performance wise things are not looking too good.

So it is looking as though the timing isn’t right for the Toyota C-HR thanks to the price of gas being so low and people wanting performance over economical vehicles.

So is the Toyota C-HR going to end up just like the Toyota Prius when that got released?
