2017 Tesla Model S Shuns Chevrolet Volt And Nissan Leaf
The 2017 Tesla Model S is shunning the Chevrolet Volt and the Nissan Leaf and turning towards taking on the cars from upper class carmakers such as Mercedes, BMW and Audi.
Some years ago people would never have thought that Tesla would have what it needed to make a best-selling luxury all-electric sedan. However they went on to do this with the Tesla Model S.
At the moment in the US the Tesla Model is the best-seller among luxury electric sedans and sales have rose by 59% when you compare them to the same period last year. Tesla revealed that they sold 9, 156 units of the Tesla Model S.
This meant that the 2017 Tesla Model S beat sales from BMW 7, Audi A8 and the Mercedes Benz S-Class. This is something that a few years ago people would never have thought would happen.
Right now Tesla has one third of sales of luxury vehicles in the large segment, including the Tesla Model X crossover, this vehicle managed to sell 5, 428 units, so it’s not just the Tesla Model S that is selling well.
