2017 Tesla Model S Means Model 3 Buyers Now Pay More
Analysts have predicted that about one third of the people who put reservations on the Tesla Model 3 have given up on the idea of owning the vehicle and instead have gone ahead and purchased the Tesla Model S.
Tesla brought out a leasing scheme over two years for customers of the Tesla Model 3, before the vehicle went into production. The scheme was available during August and September and it went well. It got those who had reserved the Model 3 into the brand name with other models.
The Tesla Model S could be leased for 24 months for $600 per month and Model X reservations were also cheap too. 400,000 pre-orders have been taken for the Tesla Model 3 and people are not going to get their hands on them for another two years.
Many people have become fed up of waiting for so long and have turned to buying the Tesla Model X, which costs them $31k more than what they could have got the Tesla Model 3 for if they had waited.
