2017 Tesla Model S Leaves Nissan Leaf And Chevy Volt Behind
The 2017 Tesla Model S is leaving the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf behind as it wants to take on more upmarket vehicles such as those from Audi, Mercedes and BMW.
It was only a few years back when people doubted that Tesla would be able to offer up a big luxury electric car. They did go on to have the last laugh though as this is just what they have managed to do.
Recently it was said that the Tesla Model S has become the leader in sales among the luxury sedan category over in the US.
Third quarter sales have increased by 59% when compared to the same period of time last year and Tesla have sold 9, 156 units of the vehicle.
Now Tesla is the brand name that is behind one third of all the sales of luxury electric vehicles and it hasn’t just been the Tesla Model S that has been successful as the Tesla Model X crossover has also sold 5, 428 units.
