2017 Tesla Model S: Drive Long And Prosper!

By  |

The Tesla Model S offers 315 miles from just one single charge and this is superb and a range that other EV makers struggle to match. Now Tesla has gone one better as they have launched the 2017 Tesla Model S 100D and this offers a range of 335 miles. This makes it the longest range electric vehicle on the market at the moment.

To get the 335 mile range you are going to have to pay $3,000 more for the Tesla Model S 100D than you would the 90D and this gives you 41 mile more. Both vehicles can reach 60mph in only 4.2 seconds, with the 100D offering the 100kWh battery and the 90D the 90kWh battery.

The Tesla Model S 100D isn’t as fast as the top of the range P100D as this reaches 60 in 2.5 seconds. However on saying this it is $39, 500 cheaper and you do get 20 additional miles from it. You can get all the self-drive features of the 100D along with Premium upgrades package, cold weather package, smart air suspension, ultra-high fidelity sound system and rear facing seating.

Tesla has also introduced the 100D option in the Model X and this is said to offer 295 miles. It has just 6 miles extra and it can reach 60mph in 4.8 seconds, not bad for an SUV.
