The Tesla Model S is competing with the Chevrolet Bolt but the Chevrolet Volt hasn’t stood a chance. We are talking about the fact that the Model S was up for the Motor Car of the Year title with its 60/75kWh engine.
Also on that list for the title was the Chevrolet Bolt EV and this was the first time that the vehicle managed to make it to the finals. The Chevrolet Volt hasn’t been as lucky as its sibling though as it failed to make it onto the list to be a contender in the finals.
The Tesla Model S 60 is a superb vehicle and it was given the upgrade from the 60kWh battery to the 75kWh battery by way of an over the air update. The 60kWh battery costs $8,500 less than the 75kWh and you are able to make the upgrade at any time if you pay $9,000.
We liked the fact that the Tesla Model S was in competition with the Chevrolet Bolt EV for the COTY awards, but we were surprised to find out that the Chevrolet Volt hadn’t made it onto the list also. This is down to the fact that it has been one of the best-sellers in the US.
Do you think that the Chevrolet Volt should have been on the list with the Tesla Model S and Chevrolet Bolt?
