2017 Subaru WRX STi US Version Gets Shortchanged

By  |

Over in the US those who want the 2017 Subaru WRX STi are going to get shortchanged it seems. This is down to the fact that over in South Africa the vehicle has been launched with a feature that people in the US are not getting.

The feature in question is the High Beam assist high intensity discharge headlights. Ok so you might think this isn’t any great big deal. But it does mean that not all vehicles for all countries are made the same.

The Subaru Outback in the US is going to be treated to brand new HID headlights over in the US. It is looking as though the US has got to wait for the arrival of the 2017 Subaru WRX STi in 2018 for the HID lights and yes they do actually make a difference when using them for safety at night.

But what do you think? Does it really matter that people in the US are having to wait for the Subaru WRX STi with HID lights while people in South Africa get them?
