2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid: Don’t Let Specs Deceive
While the 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid offers up specs that are very impressive, sadly it comes with some issues that do seem to outweigh all the good it offers.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is linked to the Rogue One Star Wars movie and this is a limited edition crossover. Rather like the movie the vehicle shows that you can get a good idea and then miss out on the execution. The specs are not the issue with the vehicle and it is competent and it sounds great on paper thanks to the 2 litre 141 horsepower engine with four cylinders and a 30 kilowatt electric motors. But not everything is great.
Just like in some parts of the movie the 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid has some bad directing and this is in the form of the two clutches. It cycles constantly between the electric motor and the gas engine; it doesn’t do it seamlessly as the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid does.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid also suffers from an issue with the regenerative braking, which of course recaptures energy. The brakes can be difficult to modulate and they tend to be grabby.
