Among the top vehicles in the EV market is the Tesla Model S P90D. The vehicle is well known for having acceleration that is mean. But how do you think it would manage if it went up against the Nissan GTR?

Well over at Top Gear they put both of the vehicles up together in a drag race. The Tesla Model S P90D offers up the 762 horsepower engine and this offers the 90kHw twin electric model. The engine means that the vehicle goes from standstill to 62mph in 2.8 seconds and the top speed is 155mph.

The Nissan GT-R offers the V6 twin turbocharged engine and this means it offers 562 horses along with 469 of torque. The engine goes from standstill to 62mph in only 2.8 seconds and the top speed comes in at 196mph.

Even though the Tesla Model S 90D offered plenty of horses and an advantage for torque, the Nissan GT-R managed to come in as the winner. We wonder if this would have been different had this been the Tesla P100D and not the P90D.
