The 2017 Mazda CX-5 is a premium vehicle that comes with a price tag of just $25k and you might want to check it out as an alternative to the new XC60 and save yourself some money in the process.
While the 2017 Mazda CX-5 does take on the looks of the predecessor you can be sure that this is an all-new vehicle. What Mazda did was build on the current design, which was already superb, to come up with the new version. Of course the price tag has risen from that of the version before, but then you should expect that as it comes with a premium design and equipment.
The 2017 Mazda CX-5 is offered in a choice of three trims, the Sport, Touring and Grand Touring and in all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive on all of the trims. The manual gearing has been lost in the update and the 2.5 litre SKYACTIV four cylinder now comes as standard with the six speed automatic gears.
The entry level version is the Sport and if you go for front-wheel drive it comes with a price tag of $24, 045 before destination fee. The Touring front-wheel drive costs $25, 915 and the front-wheel drive Grand Touring comes with a price tag that has risen by $825. The Touring Preferred Equipment Package will cost $780 when you add it onto the Touring model and it comes with 10 speaker Bose sound system, auto headlights, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rain sensing windshield wipers, power lift gate, one touch open power moonroof and the navigation system of Mazda.
If you go for the Grand Touring you don’t have to add on a driver assistance package as you get the features as standard. The Mazda CX-5 comes in Soul Red Crystal paint and Machine Gray Mettalic on the Touring and Grand Touring only, Snowflake White Pearl Mica will add on $595, $300 and $200 respectively.
