Mazda revealed that they had completed the development of the next generation SkyActive technology and this works alongside a turbocharger that is said to offer up the best balance for fuel economy and power.
The SkyActiv turbocharged motor was launched with the CX-9 and the tech is going to be pushed out to vehicles in the future. This got a lot of people talking that the facelifted version of the Mazda 3 would also come with a new turbocharged engine that would offer up amazing power.
However it seems that this isn’t going to happen at all as Mazda have revealed details about the new facelifted Mazda 3 earlier on this week. They said that the vehicles engine isn’t going to be changed.
We thought that this would be the case as it isn’t often that a vehicle gets a mid-life engine refresh. So it is looking as though the company is going to be offering the latest SkyActiv turbocharged engine on the next version of the Mazda 3 rather than just offering it with the facelifted version.
