It is looking like the 2017 Kia Sedona could be overwhelmed by the Chrysler Pacifica and Honda Odyssey. These are the two main rivals of the Sedona and they have upped their game for next year. But will the Sedona have what it takes to garner the attention of consumers in 2017?
One thing that bodes well for the 2017 Kia Sedona is the IIHS giving the vehicle ratings that are high in their Top Safety Pick. This rating is the highest that has been given in the minivan category.
Some improvements have been made on the 2017 Kia Sedona and among them have been numerous safety enhancements. A feature that stands out and which give the Sedona a reasonable chance when competing with rivals includes support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. But will this, along with improved safety measures be enough to sway people away from the Odyssey or the Pacifica?
The 2017 Kia Sedona comes with a price tag of $26,800 for the entry level but it seems that it has strong competition by way of the 2017 Honda Odyssey. The output and performance is closely matched but what makes it stand out is the design aesthetics, which are striking.
The Chrysler Pacifica hybrid is of course the pioneer among the minivan segment and it’s going up against the 2017 Kia Sedona. Bear in mind that right now this is the only hybrid minivan available.
So will the 2017 Kia Sedona have what it needs to come out ahead of its rivals or should it learn from them and hopefully come back in 2018?
