Could the 2017 Jeep Wrangler really be about to play second fiddle to the Compass? Originally the Wrangler was said to be going to become the best-selling vehicle for Jeep due to the fact that the carmaker has spent a great deal of money on boosting the production. However, there has been a twist as now it seems that Jeep is siding with the Compass as they now think that it will be the best-seller.
When the Jeep Compass was revealed it was said to have what it needed to become the best-selling Jeep vehicle and many have said that it has better looks than the Jeep Wrangler. The Compass has the looks of every other SUV bit then it does look great and it offers a great deal of potential.
The CEO of Jeep said that the Jeep Compass would outsell the Renegade, which has been very popular and that it could go on to become the best-seller that Jeep has ever had. So does this mean that all the money spent on doubling production of the new Jeep Wrangler has gone to waste as the company now thinks the Compass is going to become the best-seller for the company?
The Compass would go up against vehicles such as the Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan in Europe and it certainly has the styling that Europeans would take to. The Compass does have the same platform as the popular Renegade and it comes with a sporty feel.
So is the Jeep Compass going to become the favourite of the world and take over the Jeep Wrangler in popularity? If so why did Jeep spend all that money boosting production of the Wrangler?
