2017 Jeep Wrangler Is Taking Lead Ahead Of Cherokee
The Jeep Wrangler is going to be the leader in the lineup of vehicles as they want it to represent the brand. In order for it to do so the company is spending a lot of money on upgrades to the Toledo plant so that they can double the production.
The annual capacity is going to be boosted to about 450,000 vehicles annually and many of these are going to be for the Jeep Wrangler. This is due to the fact that the production of the Jeep Cherokee is going to be moved.
However even before Jeep have made changes, the Jeep Wrangler has been able to overtake the sales of the Cherokee along with the Grand Cherokee. Sales figures have revealed that the 4×4 is better than the two plush and premium vehicles.
The Grand Cherokee is of course the premium version, while the Cherokee comes in the middle and this is a vehicle that has looks that aren’t all that appealing. It may be selling better than the Grand thanks to the price tag being more affordable.
It had been outselling the Jeep Wrangler as the supply for the Wrangler was limited due to the fact that it has been sharing capacity since 2013. The Jeep Cherokee came out ahead due to it having an appeal that was more modern, more so for sales outside of the US.
Now sales figures have us believe that they are dropping off and the Jeep Wrangler has gained a lot of ground. It is looking like buyers outside of the US could begin to appreciate all the charm that it has to offer.
