The Jeep Wrangler is going to continue to be the most important vehicle but the Jeep Compass is going to be just as impressive, if not more so.

The car maker hasn’t done anything new for the C-segment off the road vehicle but what they have done is combine nameplates that exist to make something that does sound promising. The biggest thing they have done is for the looks, which are premium looking and which come from the Grand Cherokee.

Underneath the Jeep Compass it has the same Small Wide platform that underpins the Jeep Renegade. This means that we can expect it to offer up versatility both on the road and off.

The cabin offers the same layout and design of the Jeep Cherokee; however there may not be the same amount of roominess in the Jeep Compass. The dashboard however is like for like.

It is a good move from Jeep when you take into account that the Jeep Cherokee has been praised for having a good design and interior materials. It might look ugly on the outside, however in the cabin there is plenty of comfort.

The good news is that the Jeep Compass doesn’t come with the T-shifter, which some found unintuitive, which was in the Grand Cherokee and which was behind the death of a celebrity early this year.
