2017 Jeep Cherokee Falling Short Of Renegade and Wrangler
Jeep is making some very big changes and one vehicle that is going to be affected the most is the Jeep Cherokee. The FCA intend for the Jeep Wrangler to become the best known among the nameplates and they want it to be the best-seller not only over in the US but also around the world.
In the US the Jeep Wrangler has managed to beat the Jeep Cherokee when it comes to sales and this applies to monthly along with year to date sales. The car maker is hoping that this is going to be a trend that is going to continue for some time to come.
The Jeep Cherokee productions is going to be moved from Toledo and this means that the production of the Jeep Wrangler can be boosted. The capacity will be 450,000 vehicles a year instead of the 240,000 they now make.
The Jeep Renegade has been taking over from the compact crossover and internationally there hasn’t been any nameplate from Jeep that has been able to match the sales growth rate of the Jeep Renegade.
Since the Renegade was introduced last year around 70% of the sales were to buyers outside of the US and if that pace were to continue then I could take over from the Jeep Cherokee to become the top-seller outside of the US.
