The 2017 Hyundai Elantra is an impressive competitor to the Honda Civic for taking the title of being the most popular of the sedans during 2016. However what has made it so isn’t so much the on paper figures or the neat tricks that the vehicle offers.

What has made it so popular is that Hyundai made a partnership with Amazon Prime in the same way that Chevrolet did with the Chevrolet Volt.

Of course the Chevrolet Volt doesn’t think much about promotion as it didn’t benefit from any money from the advertising or the promotion of GM. Still the car maker did find a great way of bringing in the customers for the electric vehicle.

They teamed with Amazon to offer a test drive of the vehicle in which an expert took the vehicle to the would-be buyer and was on hand to answer questions.

Using this promotion method they managed to sell 12,000 units of the PHEV this year. As it worked for them Hyundai decided to take the same route with the Hyundai Elantra.

They teamed up with Amazon Prime with a promotion called Prime Now Drive Now and this allowed people to order a test drive using the Prime Now delivery.

This means that an expert brings the Hyundai Elantra to your door and then the expert takes you for a test drive. However to be able to get the test drive you do have to live in Orange County or Los Angeles and you can only take the test drive on the weekend between 9am and 7pm. We are hoping that the promotion is going to be offered in more locations.
